The brainchild of Daniel Jess, the Emsin Project has been operating since 2011.
What is it?
A private, non-profit think tank designed to construct bold and effective programs, resources and services to optimise the way skin cancer survivors live after remission.
Why we exist?
The group collectively agrees there is insufficient support from the public health sector to assist those who have recently survived skin cancer to rapidly and effectively regain their quality of life, both health-wise and financially, after treatment.
The Emsin Project exists to fill that gap.
Why it works
Health research and promotion is costly. Daniel Jess Natural Medicine Specialists fund the Emsin Project privately and in this way the group does not draw on Government or public funds. By drawing together the power and knowledge of health experts country-wide, the project is able to provide brilliant resources without causing economic stress.
Project advisors come from varied professional health fields, providing the group with an unequivocal body of knowledge and skill.
The group has undertaken (and will continue to undertake) extensive market research to determine the most common problems encountered by cancer survivors and their families after treatment and have developed a five year plan designed to bring patients in remission now the immediate ability to regain their quality of life.
Specific Projects
The group is currently working on the following:
- a recipe book containing low-cost, high nutrition dishes that will be published and distributed freely to cancer survivors through support groups. The aim of this publication is to ensure that those recovering are given every chance to regain their strength, immunity and bodily function through proper nutrition
- the development of an advisory group that will work towards positioning itself as an expert body able to be called upon by Government and other regulatory bodies as needed
- the establishment of a network of young professionals in health and allied industries who will become ambassadors for and champion the values and activities of the Emsin Project worldwide.
